New Luxury Vehicle Tax

A new sales tax of 10 percent in addition to the regular tax rate will be charged on most vehicle purchases over $100,000 in Washington State soon. The additional 10 percent collected is on the amount OVER the $100,000 amount. Sales tax is collected on the first $100,000 at the regular sales tax rate for the address of the seller (if a Washington dealer) or rate of purchaser's physical address.
